The Loser

So, that's me...

I'm 21 years old, I'm apparently an adult but I don't think I'm ever going to grow up.

I like Superhero Tees, Collectible Dolls, I'm a big John Cusack fan and I love The Nerd Machine ( Nice to have a place where there are people like me, feel like I sound like a mutant now and I belong in Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters ).

I spent my childhood pretty much watching Star Trek, Stargate, Farscape, Babylon 5 and Earth Final Conflict.... (My dad was big into them so I just ended up watching them because they were on TV) Along with The Power Rangers, Pokémon and others. None of my friends are into Science Fiction or Superheroes etc safe to say if there's a DVD night, I'm not the one picking it.

If you want to know anything about me, just ask.

Live Long and Prosper.

  1. Well, I feel honored to be one of the first to drift through your blog. Gratz on being a nerd btw! Although you should pick either "Loser" or "Nerd". Nerds are far to dynamic to be Losers.

I see they are still telling people they are adults at 21, shame that. In all honesty you are whatever you want to be. But even with that overly optimistic statement made you really wont begin feeling like an "Adult" until about 27.

Whatever you do with those years make sure your not living up to others expectations of what you should be. Even better, live your life without expectations. I am just learning this trick now. It makes for a life filled with thankful kindness and wide eyed wonder.

Your Dad sounds like good peoples:) My mom did the same to me growing up. Star trek, Doctor Who, The Outer Limits, Battlestar Galactica, The Twilight Zone. She used to come to my classroom in 2nd up till 5th grade and tell the teachers I had doctors appointment or dentist. Then she would take me to the matinee of whatever sci fi or fantasy movie was playing. :)

She would show me the strings, and obvious special effects mistakes and such and we made a game of finding them in all movies. Fast forward to being an adult an all those things my mom showed me had shaped me into one hell of an Film Editor.

The Moral of this floccinaucinihilipilification? <real word)

You dont need to know what your going to do with your life. As long as your living it with an open heart, open eyes and a strong sense of justice to guide you. One day it will just hit you like the punchline of a joke someone told you weeks ago that you didnt think was funny. You will understand the punchline of your personal place in this world, then you will laugh.

Why is this random freak telling you this?

Because the universe told me to tell you.

I mean duh! How the hell else would someone as busy as myself end up on a Nerdy young womans first blog post as an "adult"? The universe doesnt really work in mysterious ways. It is very open and obvious about everything. If you can learn to trust yourself and listen to it. Strange and fantastic things will happen to you.
